Continuing Education Centre is established at AFU and one unit to conduct short term training needs that are related to leadership development; and knowledge to the esteemed community including university graduates and faculty members. It is also dedicated to develop, and manage programs to sponsor university-based and other institutional education, research, and extension. To advance knowledge in agriculture, the environment, human health and well-being of the communities through short training.

To Conduct training and short term courses to provide high-quality continuing education and lifelong learning opportunities that are related to professional development, personal enrichment, career transitions, and academic growth.

Major activities conducted by Continuing Education Centre (CEC), during the Year 2071/72

1. Training on “Dairy cattle Infertility management” participated 32 participants from faculties of AFU, IAAS, HICAST; NARC scientist; and PG students held at CEC from Aswin 15-24, 2071 by Dr. L Catalina Cabrera, University of California DAVIS, USA. USAID-Funded John Ogonowski and Doug Bereuter Farmer-to-Farmer Program, Farmer-to-Farmer for Food security/Nepal.
2. Training on “Vermi-composting Technology for Organic Waste Management”, participated 39 participants from staffs’ women, students, farmers from, Mangalpur, Saradanagar, Fulbari, and Sibanagar VDCand faculties during Falgun 22, 2071 by MS. Kalyani Misra Tripathi, Managing Director Everest VermiTech Center-Nepal Bharatpur-9, Chitwan, Nepal.
3. Training on “Role of Biological Agents in Integrated Pest Managements”, participated 35 participants from faculties of AFU, IAAS, HICAST; NARC scientist; and PG students held at CEC from 5-15 Magh, 2071 by Dr. Tom DeGomez, USAID-Funded John Ogonowski and Doug Bereuter Farmer-to-Farmer Program, Farmer-to-Farmer for Food security/Nepal
4. Training on “Biostatistics: Principles and Applications of R- Statistics” participated 31 participants from faculties of AFU, IAAS, HICAST; NARC scientist; and PG students held at CEC Chaitra, 2071 by Andrew J. Sánchez Meador, Ph.D. Asst. Prof. of Forest Biostatistics & Quantitative Ecology, NAU, USAID-Funded John Ogonowski and Doug Bereuter Farmer-to-Farmer Program, Farmer-to-Farmer for Food security/Nepal
